Crimson: Steam Pirates

Crimson: Steam Pirates is an interesting step for Bungie Aerospace... after all they are better know for making Halo. When I heard this it peaked my curiosity as to how they would approach an entirely different platform in a genre never heard of before from this developer.

The game is free to download and play. It appears the developer has set up "Chapters" which will become available over time. The first chapter which goes over game play is available to play for free.

As far as game play goes, its fairly interesting. Its a turn based strategy game. You are a pirate fighting for the good of... something... the story explains it. You are given tasks to complete and you get bonus point for completing all required task in the least amount of moves. The game introduces interesting elements like the ability to use special abilities in different situations as well as ability to take over other ships.

The whole steampunk approach is a WIN in my book... the pirate approach places it even higher. I do which this was a complete game you could just pay a single price for. However it looks like were stuck with chapter installments... sigh...
