Ace Combat Xi: Skies of Incursion

Being a big fan of the Ace Combat series... And I do mean crazy big (home made bucket flight helmet crazy). I thoroughly enjoyed this game. The Ace Combat series of games has differentiated itself from all othe flight games in the genre because it's an arcade style of game play with as much realisim to make you think your playing a flight sim. It does it well...

The iPhone version of Ace Combat brings a lot of what was found on the consoles, verity of detailed planes, epic dog fights, wonderful graphics, ease of play through intuitive controls.. The list goes on. This is an A+ in my books and by far the best air combat game to this day.

The game plays wonderfully just like the console series. Maneuvering the planes is intuitive without awkward jumpiness experienced in other flight sims. Its allot easier to get involved in the action around you than having to worry which direction your plane is heading in.

What I wish it would have ( and I hope someone from Namco is reading this! ) iPad support!!! This game would be stupid beautiful on the iPad! The other thing I miss which was always such a big thing with Ace Combat was the story behind the game. It is the only game I have ever played that managed to put together a plot with bare minimals. Such as in Ace Combat 7 where they only used still images, but i am able to remember it almost half a decade ago. This is a definite must for the next game.

Despite my gripes, this is a wonderful air combat "sim". If you like airplanes... Or even seen one in the sky, you should get this game!
