Where's My Water - Free through Facebook

Disney Mobile's fairly well-received puzzle game, Where's My Water [$.99], has received another big content update. This latest chapter, which is available now for $0, adds a new steam mechanic, more collectibles, and a total of 20 new puzzles. With this added into the overall level tally, the game can safely boast 120 different levels.

Let's focus on that steam mechanic for a second since it ties into the chapter's name, the "Boiling Point." In the chapter's puzzles, you'll guide water into hot things, which converts the liquid into a gaseous cloud. Steam eats away at very specific pieces of a puzzle's environment, revealing opportunities to keep the game's Rube Golberg-ian action moving and Swampy the Alligator happy.

Kairosoft's Next iOS Game Will Likely Be 'World Cruise Story'

Kairosoft, the masters of all things simulation, have unleashed another game onto the Android Marketplace. For quite some time now the company has had a fairly predictable release cycle of things appearing on Android, then slowly making their way to the App Store. We saw it happen with Grand Prix Story, and many of their other games. World Cruise Story seems to be on deck for an iOS release, and as the title hints, puts you in charge of managing a cruise ship.

Players will be able to customize the actual ships themselves, with new amenities for your guests including rooms to stay in, restaurants, to eat at, and all the other things you'd expect on a typical ship. The size of your ship can be upgraded as well, and unlocking new destinations to sail to involves courting royalty.

It sounds like a crazy mix between Mega Mall Story and Hot Springs Story with a nautical twist. As far as when the game will hit, that's anyone's guess. I'm guessing sometime early next month.

Minecraft: Pocket Edition now available on iOS in New Zealand

The highly anticipated iOS port of Minecraft has been rumored to have been released today on the New Zealand iTunes App Store. Appearing as a universal app, it will work on both iPhone and iPad hardware. Minecraft: Pocket Edition should (supposedly) make its way to the European and North American stores later today. That $9.99 NZD price should translate into $6.99 when it's available, or the same as the Android Marketplace release.

Fingers crossed...

Zen Warrior - Mesmerizing... like a car crash...

This game come on the market and I snatched it up for free. I spent 5 minutes playing this at work and beat it... several times.. in its entirety... not because its a short game, but because it has severe flaws.  First off the controls are weak and respond poorly to movement. It appears most reviews in iTunes complain about it being unplayable. I found it quite playable, as a matter of fact all i needed was a single move. Down and Kick. That's right. This move allowed me to beat the game on its highest difficulty without loosing a single fight. The AI is so crap that it was unable to preventing me from crouching and kicking them.

Another think you cant get past is that all the characters appear to be the same guy. This is because the developer created a single model for a fighter, and then wrapped them in a multitude of crap looking textures. This is distracting to the same degree of when your driving and everyone slows down to stare at a car accident. Really cheap move.

I grabbed this game while it was free and it amused me only in a sense that any engineer would find flaws in software. But past that I would be fairly upset if this is the quality I recieved for actually paying for it.
