Anomaly Warzone Earth HD

I have been following this game ever since it came out for Mac/PC, patiently waiting for it to come out to iOS. The first reason was usability. From conceptulization, this game was meant for the iPad. From its intuitive controls to menus, it is ideal for playing on a touch device such as the iPad.

Second, the price. When it first came out it was available for $15 on the Mac/PC which later dropped to its current price of $10. It is currently available for $3.99 for the iPad. Having played this game I can happily say its well worth an iOS premium price of $10+ for what your getting. So at its current price its a steal.

When I first picked this game up, I intended to only spend a few minutes runing through the first level and checking out the graphics and gameplay style... I found myslef three and half hours later on the floor saying "wtf just happened"... no i did not pass out, i ended up getting emersed in the gameplay. A very surprising turn of events I was not expecting.

The premise of the game is simple. An allient force has landed on Erth and you are to venture into its territory and reclaim it. It plays like a tower defense, only your the one making a run for the turrets. This type of "reverse" tower defense is not new, its been around for a while. And although im not a big fan of this style, Anomoly brings quite a few fun features which differentiates itself from others. It allows for upgrades during the game and allows for "on-the-fly" switching of your path. So unlike most path games where your locked into a rail, this game allows you to modify your path as you see fit. This allows for replayability and never makes any two games the same.

Anomaly Warzone Earth HD is currently available for $3.99 from the AppStore
